What to expect…

Rehab 2
Massage appointment

…at a Rehab appointment

​​

  • Consultation on reason for attending + past injury history.

 

  • Assessment (range of motion, strength, function, site of injury/pain). 

  • A rehab approach consists of:

    • Targeted exercise, training load management, modifications to activities of daily living.

    • Education on the impact of lifestyle and stress on physical recovery.

  • All rehab exercises will be demonstrated by myself and practiced by you.

  • Following the appointment I will record rehab exercise video tutorials for you.

​​​

  • I will produce a personalised rehab program pdf including:

    • dosage (reps, sets, frequency) and exercise cues.

    • markers for regression or progression of the exercises

    • markers for return to activity/work/training/sports performance.

  • I will monitor your program progression & make any adjustments remotely. Providing ongoing support and advice with Whatsapp via message or voice notes. 

  • I will not upsell follow ups. I will not suggest a multi session ‘treatment plan’ or ‘block booking’.

…at a 1 to 1 Strength Session 

  • 1 to 1 sessions are an additional training option.

  • 1 session every 4-6 weeks

    • Check in session to monitor and progress your self led plan.

    • The session provides motivation & accountability for clients who prefer in person contact & support alongisde self led training.

  • 3 sessions pcm (3 weeks on/1 week off)

    • ​Integrated as part of your self led training program.

    • Providing the option for increased intensity training (using my studio strength equipment) in a safe environment (my presence as a trainer/spotter).

    • Barbell and higher load compound movement training is an option. ​​

 

  • Strength Training Pathway

…at an S&C appointment

  • Consultation on your goals for strength training + a ‘needs analysis’ to identify the physical attributes we will target.

​​

  • I will explain how & why we program strength training in certain ways. This understanding is key to your execution of a strength program.​​

  • In person assessment/exercise selection:

    • I will demo and you will practice.

    • I will coach you during the process checking for any potential issues with exercise technique.

    • We select which exercises and what loads to use together.​

 

  • The whole process usually takes 2.5 hrs.

 

  • Following the appointment I will record video tutorials for each exercise.

  • I will produce a personalised strength program pdf including​:

    • dosage (reps, sets, frequency) and exercise cue.

    • markers and methods for progression.

  • I will monitor your program progression & make any adjustments remotely. Providing ongoing support & advice with Whatsapp via message or voice notes.  

…at a first Massage appointment

  • Consultation regarding reason for attending + relevant physical history.​​

  • Injury or pain assessment as required.

  • Thorough Soft Tissue Therapy treatment addressing main reason for attending and any areas relevant or influential to the main reason for attending.

  • I will not just ‘rub the painful bit’. I will also attempt to identify any other factors which may be contributing to your discomfort and also address those. ​​​​​​

  • I will not upsell ongoing follow ups. I will not suggest a multi session ‘treatment plan’ or ‘block booking’.
